| Diabetic ulcers occur when the skin breaks down from excessive pressure or friction. Ulcers are commonly infected and can lead to limb threatening or even life threatening situations if not treated appropriately and immediately. Diabetics that have poor circulation and diminished sensitivity are especially prone to this problem. |

This is only a few of the more common foot problems we treat. Other conditions we treat are: ganglions, tendinitis, ankle sprains, stress fractures, arthritis, Charcot foot, avascular necrosis, apophysitis, osteomyelitis and many more. NOTE:We try to exhaust all conservative measures prior to performing surgery. Sometimes non surgical treatment can help, but it may only be temporary. For certain problems, surgery is often the more definitive answer to a persistent problem and the best way to prevent more serious conditions. Surgery by a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine may be your best option. We perform all surgeries in our office utilizing a local anesthetic. |
